Meet the "Handler"

Meet Big-Bin our resident "handler." He's very special and took 3 years to engineer. He quietly slinks in and swoops up Bins containers for deliveries here and there. He doesn't need much space, only a few inches on either side of the Bins. (Yeah, I know what you're thinking...we made him talented!).

Big-Bin levels each Bins container the whole way during the loading and unloading process. We created him with that precision on purpose. Your stuff is important! He gets that and so do we.

So, if you see Big-Bin out and about, give him a wave or a honk. Make him feel like the rock star he is!

Do You Help When You Can?

Homes of Hope presented by Crawford Hoying and Sunny 95 is a community support program to help 5 local families in need with rent-free apartment housing for 12 months.

Nominations are being accepted until Friday, July 16th. This is where YOU come in. You can help a family in desperate need of a break by nominating them. It's EASY and only takes a few minutes.

If you're a Sunny 95 listener, you will remember the heartfelt appreciation from the winning families last year. What a wonderful, personally rewarding goodwill gesture YOU can do.

Take 5 minutes and help out a community family. Bins is proud to be a sponsor for Homes of Hope.

Bins, Saves the Day...

KidsLinked.com a fellow Columbus, Ohio business sponsors the Red, White and Boom children's park area. This sponsorship is a major even as 10,000+ families visit the children's park in downtown for this event.

This children's park has crafts, vendor tents, balloon artists, face painters, etc. Needless to say, MANY supplies are needed on site. Here's where Bins comes in: Kidslinked.com contacted us to help deliver their supplies downtown.

Their dilemma:
  • The KidsLinked.com office is in Upper Arlington.
  • The event is held downtown Columbus on closed streets.
  • They need time to pack all the supplies and materials AND to unload them on site.

OUR solution:

We delivered our 10' Bins storage container to the KidsLinked.com offices on Tuesday, 3 days before the event. Then, tomorrow (2 days later), we will be picking up the Bins at the office and delivering it to the downtown location for unloading prior to the Friday event.

You could hear the sigh of relief on the phone as we finalized the Bins delivery plan. We were happy to help and were happy to save the event planner many trips to and from the KidsLinked office and her car to deliver all those supplies to the event. Not to mention...we probably saved her a trip to the chiropractor! =)

Whew...we love saving the day and playing superhero anytime we can. How can Bins help your business or family host an on site or off site event?

At Bins, We Support our Community...

Being good neighbors and community helpers are important to us. There are opportunities to help in our communities and nation every day. These opportunities come in all shapes and sizes...from recycling to help our environment, to holding the door for an elderly person, to cleaning up beaches and ecosystems after an oil spill.

On Saturday, May 22nd Bins is participating in Roll On Columbus(http://www.rolloncolumbus.com/) at the LC Pavilion in the Arena District. The event was created to raise money for Nationwide Children's Hospital and for FUN for motorcycle enthusiasts! Check out the link as it seems that there is something for the entire family. And, as an added bonus, children 12 and under get in FREE. Be sure to stop by our Bins booth and say hi!

Bins is also supporting Nationwide Children's Hospital by hosting a DVD drop location for Kinder Key (http://www.nationwidechildrens.org/kinder-key. Kinder Key is the non-profit organization that supports families and young heart patients throughout their treatment at the Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital. We have a DVD drop box in our lobby at 7455 Alta View Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43085. Simply stop by and deposit new or gently used DVDs in the container! DONE!

Do your part to help us with this cause! Ask your friends, neighbors, or family members to bring their used or new DVDs to you. You can be the point person to bring them to our office just north of 270 in the Worthington area. OR, organize your baseball team, youth group, scout troop, 4-H or swim team to participate in the DVD drive. ALL ways you can help make our community better.

ON DECK...we're gearing up to help all along the Pelotonia (http://pelotonia.org/ride/) route in August. WOW! This grassroots bicycling tour has grown substantially since its first ride last year. 100% of all money raised goes directly to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

At Bins, we are very proud to help out our community in these and many other ways. What are you doing to support your friends and neighbors in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area?
